FirstNest Laughter

About FirstNest Laughter

We design laughter therapy courses rooted in psychology, breathwork, and group dynamics—simple, ethical, and inclusive.

Mission

Make science-based laughter tools accessible without hype.

Method

Short practices + reflection + opt-in pacing.

Format

Text-first guidance for clarity and accessibility.

Our Story

We began as a small circle of wellbeing educators who noticed that gentle laughter exercises could reliably ease tension and increase presence—even online. Today, our certified facilitators serve individuals and organizations worldwide without using photos or distracting visuals.

Why text-only?

Because laughter is a felt experience. When visuals are removed, participants can notice breath, posture, and emotion with less comparison and more agency.

Our Principles

  • Safety first: opt-in, trauma-aware practices.
  • Clarity: text-only guidance with high contrast.
  • Evidence-informed: measured, iterative improvements.

Ethics

No pressure to perform. We keep pacing gentle, and we treat “no laughter today” as valid data—not failure.

Accessibility

Keyboard-friendly, readable spacing, and minimal cognitive load—so the practice stays the focus.

The Science (Plain Language)

Breath + Nervous System

Light laughter patterns often include longer exhales. Longer exhales can support downshifting into a calmer state.

Social Contagion

Laughter is social. Even imagining shared warmth can increase feelings of connection and reduce isolation.

Reframing + Presence

Playful micro-practices can interrupt rumination, making room for attention, choice, and self-compassion.

Important note

Our content supports wellbeing education and skill-building. It is not a substitute for medical or mental health care. You are always in control of participation.

Laughter Compass

Select how you want to feel today. We’ll suggest a micro-practice you can try in under 2 minutes. This is text-only by design: less distraction, more sensing.
